<B>1909/8<$20> MS63 PCGS.</B></I> The 1909/8 is the only overdate within the Saint-Gaudens double eagle series, and is the only uncontested overdate of the denomination, since some holdouts continue to regard the 1853/2 as a repunched date variety. This lustrous example has lemon toning, with hints of gunmetal-gray on Liberty's highpoints. Marks are minor save for an inconspicuous graze on the waist. Housed in a green label holder.
