1909 $20 MS64 PCGS. This is an interesting issue that seems to remain underrated, as it has been for almost a century now. Apparently, according to estimates based upon the number of survivors, approximately half of the 161,282 pieces produced were examples of the 1909/8 overdate variety. That gives the regular 1909 issue a lower mintage of around 80,000 coins, and the number of high grade survivors is correspondingly small. This near-Gem is well struck, with vibrant luster and appealing lime-gold and peach toning. A few trivial, yet grade-limiting marks are noticeable on the upper half of the obverse.

Coin Engraver: Augustus Saint-Gaudens

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
