<B>1909 $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Bowers comments interestingly in his double eagle <I>Guide Book</B></I> thusly: "The 1909 double eagle, 'perfect date' (not overdate), is readily available, but hardly common, in lower Mint State levels through 62. Higher grades are seldom seen, and even a nice MS63 would be a show-stopper!" This "super show-stopper" boasts boldly struck surfaces that are yellow-gold and highly lustrous, with a few too many light field abrasions to qualify for Gem status.
