<B>1908<$5> MS66 PCGS.</B></I> This is the final issue of the Liberty Head half eagle series, and the only gold coin of this design actually struck in 1908. Only business strikes of this design were produced during the year with a mintage of just under a half million coins. This example is fully brilliant and sharply struck with intense orange-gold luster and pristine surfaces. Population: 24 in 66, 7 finer (9/06).
