1908 $20 Motto MS65 PCGS. The design motifs on each side of this lovely Gem are sharply detailed and the surfaces have frosty yellow-gold luster with hints of olive-green toning. The surfaces are remarkably free of pesky abrasions that so often plague these large gold coins. Although this date has sometimes been characterized as a rarity, it is actually quite common, even in Mint State grades up to MS64. However, finer pieces, such as this desirable Gem, are seldom encountered, as the current population data confirms. Population: 30 in 65, 11 finer (12/06).
From The Matt & Susan Brown Family Collection of Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
