1907 Sparks & Harrell Company Dealers in General Merchandise billhead
This March 4, 1907 billhead is an expense report from Lewis Harrell (cousin of Jasper) at the Brown Ranch. Jasper Harrell and John Sparks ran a major sheep operation in Nevada and California in the late 1800's. San Jacinto was one of the many ranches in the ranching empire of Sparks & Harrell. It is located about 13 miles north of Contact and on the old Oregon Short Line Railroad bed. It was an active stop (garage, etc.) into the 1940's and there is still a ranch located there.
