1907-S 50C MS65 PCGS. David Lawrence, in his The Complete Guide to Barber Halves, writes that the 1907-S is "... the scarcest late date of the series in Mint State," and rates the issue in this condition as R.5. Glowing luster emanates from each side of this gorgeous Gem. A coat of low intensity gold-beige and bluish-gray patination enriches well cared for surfaces that reveal just a few minor marks that are well within the confines of the grade designation. The design detail is generally sharp, except for minor weakness in the upper right corner of the shield and adjacent feathers. Population: 7 in 65, 7 finer (7/07).

Coin Engraver: Charles E.
