1907[$20] PR66 PCGS.
1907<$20> PR66 PCGS. Crisply struck, the eagle and stars possess meticulous definition and only a hint of softness of detail is noted on Liberty's forehead and hair curls. The major devices have moderate cameo contrast, although the depth of frost on the portrait is not quite sufficient to merit a Cameo designation. Light lemon-gold patina dominates, while hints of olive color outlines the reverse design. The undisturbed surfaces of this imposing premium Gem do not exhibit any mint-made or post-mint distinctions that could provide pedigree markers.

The final proof issue of this long-lived Longacre design. 78 pieces were struck, the lowest proof mintage of the denomination since 1898. It is unlikely that half of the mintage has survived unimpaired, although the grading services reflect a higher total due to resubmissions from hopeful owners. As of (7/04), PCGS has certified two pieces as PR66, and only a solitary PR67 Cameo has achieved a higher grade from that service. Both sides of the PCGS holder have minor scuffs that may show up on the photographs but do not in any manner affect the preservation of the coin itself.
From The John Michael Stuart Collection, Part Two.

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
