<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim XF45 ICG.</B></I> Multiple blows from a heavy medal press guaranteed that the High Relief double eagles of 1907 were consistently well produced. The fact that this is a one-year type, and that only around 12,000 pieces were produced, has helped to ensure its popularity with collectors ever since. This piece shows a partial wire rim on each side that is most noticeable on the right side of the obverse, between approximately 11 o'clock and 5 o'clock. A moderate degree of wear on Liberty's breast and knee, and on the highpoints of the eagle, seem consistent with the Choice XF grade assessment.
