<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS64 PCGS.</B></I> This sharply detailed High Relief Saint-Gaudens double eagle is the Wire Rim variant, considered undesirable by Mint officials but highly collectible today. Current estimates suggest that the first 8,000 pieces of this design had a wire rim while the final 4,000 had the more desirable flat rim. This particular near-Gem specimen is highly lustrous yellow-gold with satiny surfaces. Both sides have subtle hints of green color. A few faint abrasions on the obverse and reverse surfaces keep it from a Gem grade classification.
