<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS64 PCGS.</B></I> This early issue in the Saint-Gaudens double eagle series has proven to be one of the most enduringly popular and collectible coins in the history of American numismatics. Created from a modified design, after a small quantity of Ultra High Relief specimens had proven overly difficult to produce, the High Relief version still has a powerfully raised appearance on the devices that gives the coins a three-dimensional look. This near-Gem is bright, satiny, and smooth, with impressive striking detail and marvelously preserved surfaces. Under close examination with a magnifier, the coin reveals a tiny mark beneath Liberty's right (facing) elbow, and another on her right (facing) knee. The reverse is equally impressive, as a minor milling mark just above the eagle's head is the only mentionable flaw.
