<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS64 NGC.</B></I> Like many others, Garrett and Guth lauded the High Relief double eagles in their <I>Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins</B></I>. For the Wire Rim pieces, they began: "Aside from the handful of coins that show the Ultra High Relief, these represent the closest obtainable coin to Augustus Saint-Gaudens's conception of the design. None other than Teddy Roosevelt demanded a change in our national coinage, and sought out one of the most talented artists of the era ...
