<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS63 PCGS.</B></I> The 1907 High Relief Saint-Gaudens double eagle is a classic issue in American numismatics that marks an abrupt change in the overall approach to our national coinage. Earlier coinage designs were executed primarily by U.S. Mint personnel, and with practical, technical concerns being paramount. All of that changed when Theodore Roosevelt enlisted the aid of Augustus Saint-Gaudens in the redesign of two important types: the gold eagle and the double eagle. This example is a fine representative of the wire rim High Relief.
