1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS62 NGC. The Roman Numerals MCMVII on the obverse of the High Relief double eagle represent the date, 1907. Never before and never again have Roman Numerals appeared to represent the date on regular production U.S. coins with the exception of the 1986 through 1991 American Eagle gold bullion coins. The Panama-Pacific $50 gold commemoratives also carried Roman Numerals for the date.
This satiny Mint State piece exhibits full mint brilliance with light yellow-gold color. Both sides are well detailed, and the highpoints have faint traces of friction, caused not by wear but by contact with other coins

Coin Engraver: Augustus Saint-Gaudens

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
