<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Flat Rim MS62 PCGS.</B></I> The 1907 High Relief Roman Numerals mintage of 12,367 pieces includes both the Wire Rim and Flat Rim varieties. The Flat Rim coins are much scarcer than the Wire Rim by a margin of nearly 5 to 1 (Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, <I>Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins, 1795-1933</B></I>). The MS62 Flat Rim described here displays the usual satiny finish with bright mint luster and pleasing yellow-gold color. The design elements are well impressed, including nice definition on Liberty's face, on the fingers of both hands, and on the toes. The eagle's plumage also stands out, more so than is typical for the issue.
