<B>1907 $20 High Relief, Flat Rim AU58 ICG.</B></I> The Flat Rim variant of the 1907 High Relief double eagle is several times scarcer than its Wire Rim counterpart, and is the result of a conscious decision on the part of Mint employees to remedy the "problem" of extruded metal that created the Wire Rim coins. Sharply struck throughout, there is little friction evident on the devices, and the surfaces are satiny with a noticeable accent of green over each side. As usual, the lower reverse details are somewhat faint, an issue related to the difficulties associated with the High Relief design itself.
