1907 $20 Arabic Numerals MS65 PCGS. After a brief production run of just over 12,000 High Relief double eagles in 1907, the Mint created new master dies and hubs that were of lower relief. In addition, the date was changed from Roman numerals to Arabic numerals. Consistent with the High Relief versions, the new design did not include the traditional motto IN GOD WE TRUST. As related in The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, that would change in mid-1908 when Congress overruled President Theodore Roosevelt's objection to the use of the Deity's name on coins. This is a remarkable clean and sharply struck example of this popular issue. The surfaces are bright with even yellow-gold color.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
