<B>1907 $2 1/2 PR64 PCGS.</B></I> A needle-sharp near-Gem with flashy, deep mirror fields. The surfaces are undisturbed by contact, although both sides have some scattered hairlines. The devices appear to exhibit a mild cameo contrast with the darkly reflective fields, although the PCGS insert does not possess a Cameo designation. Breen notes in his proof coin <I>Encyclopedia</B></I> (1977) that proofs have two horizontal die lines between the first two vertical shield stripes, and the present piece displays that diagnostic. Housed in an older PCGS green-label holder, an appealing and highly collectible coin.
