<B>1907 $2 1/2 PR55 PCGS.</B></I> About 100 examples out of a mintage of 154 pieces are known for the 1907 quarter eagle proof, as many of the survivors may have been saved because of the discontinuance of the Liberty Head series. This PR55 piece exhibits nice field-design contrast on its peach-gold surfaces. Exquisitely struck and minimally abraded.
