For your consideration is this collection of Montana ephemera circa 1907-1950s. The first three items are small bronze plated sculptures from Kalispell, Polson and Fort Peck Dam, Montana. Two sculptures are identical in shape but one is painted and the other is not. The painted one has no bronze. The third sculpture shows a Native American on horse back with his hand up to his face to block the sun. All three sculptures are set on black wood bases. The bronze cowboy reads on the base, "Fort Peck Dam, Mont.", the painted cowboy reads, "Polson, Mont." and the Native American reads, "Kalispell, Mont.". The next item is a leather bottle cover from Bozeman, Montana. The front of the cover shows pictures of animals such as a camel, a donkey, a pig, a rooster and a monkey. The front reads, "Tale of the Spirits / How Dry I Am / Some Kick / Don't Be A / Quite Cocky / End Of The Tale" in black lettering. The back shows a man leaning on a lamp post after having one too many drinks. The back shows lyrics to a short song reading, "When Your Heels Hit Hard, And Your Head Feels Queer, And Your Thoughts Foam Up Like The Froth On Beer; When Your Legs Are Weak And Your Voice Is Strong And You Laugh Like Hell At Some Damn Fool Song, You're Drunk, By Gosh! You're Drunk!" in black lettering. The bottom of the leather sleeve reads, "Bozeman, Mont." in black lettering. The bottom of the bottle has been broken. The next item in this collection is a small pin from Anaconda, Montana reading, "Anaconda of Montana / The Capital". This pin is celebrating the 100 year anniversary of when the people of Montana got to vote between Anaconda and Helena as the State Capital. The pin shows a red border with gold lettering. The middle of the pin shows the building that would have been Capital in Anaconda and reads, "The Capital" inside a blue banner. The final two items in this collection are wood and paper hand held fans from Sheridan, Montana and Dillon, Montana. The first fan is from E. Adams' Sample Room. They sold choice wines, liquors & cigars and advertised an "Elegant Sitting Room" in Sheridan, Montana on Main Street. The front of the fan shows an image of a bouquet of flowers with colors of red, pink, green and violet. The second fan is from a Bakery and Confectionery Ice Cream shop in Dillon, Montana. The shop also sold cigars and tobaccos. The front of the fan shows a colored boy and girl sitting on a tree branch about to share a kiss. The items show good condition with some slight wear from their vintage age and the only damaged item is the broken bottle, the leather sleeve is still in good condition.
