Items collected by 8794 Sergeant William Webb of the Royal Irish Rifles including History of the Royal Irish Rifles by George Brenton Laurie, Gale & Polden 1914 with contemporary inscription on front paste-down "C Company 2nd Royal Irish Rifles Tidworth 1914" and later notation "The above was written by Captain J. C. Bowen-Colthurst". Bowen-Colthurst was infamous for his ordering summary executions including Francis Sheehy Skeffington during the 1916 Rising. Also discharge wallet and documents noting Webb's service details including his shrapnel wound suffered at Aisne in September 1914 which later forced his discharge from the army, miniature 1914 Star Trio with bar, group photograph of solders with Webb seated centrally, pc photograph showing Webb post-war with service medals, related cabinet card photograph showing a member of the Royal Irish Constabulary, 'Echo of the 1916 Rebellion pamphlet, Royal Ulster Rifles Association Report 1934, Royal Army Medical Corps manual 1904 and assorted newspaper clippings mostly relating to the Royal Irish Rifles.
