<B>1907 $10 No Periods MS66 PCGS.</B></I> A trifle soft across the curls over Liberty's ear, as is characteristic for the 1907 No Periods, with shimmering yellow-gold surfaces and hardly a mark to be found on either side. Swirling die polish lines are noted in the reverse fields, while the smooth obverse yields a bold satiny sheen. Close inspection of the fine grain surfaces is needed in order to observe a few wispy reverse field marks, while a small, curly lintmark (as struck) is noted in the field area just left of the eagle's breast. The No Periods is one of the more common issues of this type. As a first-year issue, many examples were saved from circulation, resulting in the relatively large number of Gems that exist today. Premium Gems, such as this one, are scarcer and less frequently seen in public auctions.
