<B>1906-D $10 MS65 NGC.</B></I> The 06 in the date is lightly repunched, a different variety than Breen-7089. 1906 was the first year of coinage at the Denver Mint, and a small number of high grade eagles are known, perhaps set aside by a Mint official as the first of their kind. This highly lustrous Gem has a razor-sharp strike and an unabraded portrait. The reverse and the right obverse field are also splendidly smooth.
