1906-D<$10> MS64 NGC. The origin of the Denver Mint was private gold coiner Clark, Gruber & Co. Thus, it was appropriate that in its first year of coinage, Denver struck three of the four current gold denominations. (Only the Philadelphia Mint struck quarter eagles between 1880 and 1910.) This highly lustrous near-Gem is assertively struck, and the luminous peach-gold surfaces are void of mentionable marks.
