<B>1905 Denver Mint Opening, HK-876, AU50 Uncertified.</B></I> Bronze, reeded edge, 36.5 mm, "extremely rare" (HK, 1963). An interesting item combining medals with numismatics, this piece Was actually the first product struck by the Denver Mint, to test new machinery and, according to some, to try out dies for a new twenty dollar gold piece. The obverse simply says "Denver / 1905" while the reverse is blank.
