<B>1905<$10> PR64 Cameo PCGS.</B></I> Typical of nearly all gold and silver proofs from the first years of the 20th century, this piece has light cameo contrast, the devices exhibiting satiny luster with deeply mirrored fields. The surfaces on both sides of this near-Gem are fully brilliant with light yellow-gold color. A few wispy hairlines in the left obverse field prevent a higher grade, and yet there are no visible imperfections that would actually permit tracking the pedigree of this piece. This is one of the major challenges facing any numismatist who attempts to record pedigree strings for various coinage issues. Population: 2 in 64 Cameo, 2 finer (9/06).
