<B>1904-S $5 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> A delightful example that shows all the eye appeal that one would expect from a specimen at a substantially higher grade level. Most design features are sharp, and the luster is pleasing. There are very few contact marks for the assigned grade. Close examination reveals a tiny lamination flaw by Liberty's ear, a feature scarcely worth mentioning. David Akers writes that the issue is "definitely rare in full mint state." We might ask: how rare are outstanding MS64 examples such as this? Answer: the PCGS population data suggests that they're extremely rare.
