<B>1904-S $20 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The high mintage 1904-S double eagle, with more than five million pieces originally produced, is well known as the most common Type III double eagle from the San Francisco Mint. Above the MS65 grade level, however, this issue is excessively rare, with a mere three examples certified at MS66 by the two major services, and none finer (6/07). The surfaces of the currently offered Gem are blessed with effulgent mint luster and alluring coloration.
