<B>1904-S $20 MS65 NGC.</B></I> In 1904, Philadelphia and San Francisco combined to produce nearly 11.4 million double eagles, and while the Philadelphia issue is better-known for its high mintage, San Francisco contributed over 5 million to that total. This Gem is one of the finest survivors from that voluminous production. The shining yellow-gold surfaces have strong luster and appealing orange tints, while the devices have excellent detail. Appealing despite some small marks that limit the grade.
