1904-S 10C MS66 PCGS. Dime production at the San
1904-S<10C> MS66 PCGS. Dime production at the San Francisco Mint amounted to just 800,000 coins in 1904. Perhaps needless to say, the '04-S is a challenging coin to locate in both circulated and Mint State grades. Modest brightness is seen in the fields of the present Gem. We are unable to locate a single distracting bagmark, and the surfaces are richly toned in orange-olive shades with splashes of lilac-gray patina over the central and lower left reverse. The obverse impression is not full, but that on the reverse is essentially so. NGC and PCGS combined report eight coins in MS66, and there is just one MS67 PCGS example finer (3/05).
