<B>1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The classic gold commemoratives, which range from gold dollars to fifty dollar pieces, have lower mintages than most silver commemoratives, with the lone possible exception of the Sesquicentennial quarter eagle of 1926. Among the gold dollar commemorative issues, the Lewis and Clark coins of 1904 rank among the most elusive pieces, especially in Gem grades. Both sides of this lovely yellow-gold Gem have satiny luster with sharp detail and only insignificant marks that are compatible with the grade.
