1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS65 NGC. Paul Gilkes, citing Anthony Swiatek's mintage research of the 1904 Lewis and Clark commemorative gold dollar, says in an April 3, 1996 Coin World article entitled "Coins Mark Explorers' Achievements," that: "Of the total struck for general sales (25,000 pieces), 15,003 coins were melted, leaving a net mintage for the 1904 issue at 9,997 coins." The Gem survivor offered here exhibits bright peach-gold luster and sharply struck design elements. A few minor field marks are commensurate with the grade designation.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
