1904 $5 --Rims Damaged--ANACS. PR60 Details. Although this piece technically falls into the category of impaired proof coins, it is still a desirable rarity. The proof half eagle mintage in 1904 was only 136 coins, and current estimates suggest that about 50 to 60 of these pieces survive, at the most. It is a lovely cameo piece, and actually Gem quality except for the rim problems. The obverse rim has marks from 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock, and a few similar marks appear at various points along the reverse rim.

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
