<B>1904<$20> MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Several factors contribute to the popularity of this issue for type purposes: its mintage, the second-highest in the history of the denomination behind the 1927; the overall quality of examples; and its date, which puts it within the realm of the popular 20th-century type set. This Gem has highly lustrous yellow-orange surfaces and solidly struck devices. The fields have few marks, though several copper stains, which range from cherry-red near the eagle's beak to dark crimson near 10 o'clock on the reverse, combine with small, scattered marks to define the grade.
