<B>1904 $2 1/2 MS68 PCGS.</B></I> As a rule, the 20th century quarter eagles of the Liberty design are all considered to be common dates. With a mintage of 160,790 pieces, the 1904 is no exception. Yet none of those issues are readily available in Superb Gem condition. Only one example each of 1901, 1904, 1905, 1906, and 1907 have been graded MS68, with none certified as MS69 (7/07). In addition, only a handful of 19th century quarter eagle issues can claim an example of similar grade.<BR> This remarkable beauty has bold detail and exquisite, frosty luster. The pristine yellow-gold surfaces have splashes of orange on each side.
