<B>1903-S<img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10>$1> MS65 Prooflike NGC.</B></I> Light orange-gold toning graces the peripheries of this significant and imposing Gem. Sharply struck, but of greater interest is the field reflectivity, which is substantial. The fields are also refreshingly devoid of marks, and even the cheek has only a pair of unimportant abrasions. The 1903-S is rare in Gem to begin with, but Prooflike Gems are exceptionally rare. NGC and PCGS combined have certified only three pieces as MS65 Prooflike, with none finer (9/06). Even in <I>lower</B></I> Prooflike grades, the 1903-S is nearly unobtainable, since the two major services have certified a total of six pieces as Prooflike between AU58 and MS64. Neither service has certified a Deep Mirror Prooflike example. The Prooflike Morgan dollar specialist cannot overestimate the importance of the present opportunity. Certified in a prior generation holder.
