1903-S $5 MS65 PCGS. Although no Liberty half eagle in Gem condition can be appropriately categorized as "common," the 1903-S is one of the more obtainable issues at this grade level. Ironically, the availability of this date becomes substantially scarcer in MS66. Unlike most of the post-1900 Liberty half eagle issues, the PCGS Population Report confirms that no 1903-S examples have been graded higher than MS66. This is a lovely example that has rich mint frost and a slight but noticeable tinge of reddish patina. Population: 97 in 65, 16 finer (4/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
