1903-S $20 MS65 PCGS. Gem examples of this issue are quite rare, according to Garrett and Guth's Gold Encyclopedia, much more so than for the 1903 Philadelphia coinage. Like so many Liberty Type Three double eagles, this issue is plentiful in the lower Mint State echelons, but quite elusive in the higher reaches; this is one of only seven pieces at PCGS that have attained the Gem grade, with none finer. Areas of orange-gold and green-gold alternate, with brilliant luster and few singular abrasions. The reverse is especially pristine, although there are few marks on Liberty's cheek.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
