<B>1903-S $10 MS67 NGC.</B></I> This date is considered to be one of the most common Liberty eagles issued in the 20th century, although Superb Gem examples are rarely seen. Just eight such coins have been certified, and only twice before have we sold such a remarkable coin. A survey of auction records over the past 15 years reveals the true rarity of Superb Gem specimens. This particular specimen has exquisitely bold design details with brilliant and frosty orange-gold surfaces, slightly deeper on the reverse. Few abrasions of any significance are evident on the pristine surfaces.
