<B>1903 $2 1/2 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> As a date, the 1903 quarter eagle is always available in lower Mint State grades. However, in Superb Gem condition it is actually an extremely scarce coin. The fact that this piece, struck more than 100 years ago, has remained virtually flawless since leaving the Mint is miraculous. The radiant luster, emanating from satiny surfaces, is the first characteristic noticed. The nearly full strike is high on the list of attributes, which also includes a near-complete absence of post-strike contact.
