1902 Chicago Orphans vs. Pittsburg Pirates Program. Tremendously scarce "Official Score Card" documents a visit by Honus Wagner's National League Championship Pirates to Chicago's West Side Park the year before the club would take on its new "Cubs" moniker. The twenty-page booklet remains in remarkably strong condition, with the pencil marked center score pages listing legends from Tinker to Chance to Fred Clarke. This center spread has loosened from, but still remains affixed to, the center staples, though the booklet remains otherwise tightly bound. All other pages show a remarkable absence of wear. The color lithography on front and rear covers is simply out of this world. Definitely one of the finest from the very short supply of turn-of-the-century scorecards surviving in the hobby today. And, with a record of 103 victories and thirty-six losses, this season marks the highest winning percentage (.741) in Pirates history.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
