<B>1901-S $10 MS66 NGC.</B></I> Based on its high original mintage of 2,812,750 pieces and high survival rate, the 1901-S eagle is one of the most common dates in the Liberty Head series. More than 20,000 Uncirculated examples have been certified by NGC and PCGS through MS65. The population of Premium Gems is in the vicinity of 430 coins, and fewer than 30 higher-grade specimens are known. Variegated apricot-gold and lime-green patination adorns both sides of the radiantly lustrous MS66 piece in the present lot.
