<B>1901-S $10 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1901-S is one of the most common dates in the Liberty half eagle series for two main reasons; its high mintage of 2.8 million pieces and the repatriation of many European hoards. As a result, well over 1000 MS65 or better examples have been graded by the two major grading services. Whatever the reason, numismatists are thankful. Ownership of any Gem Liberty gold coin, regardless of denomination or date, is a satisfying experience. This is a particularly attractive example that has even, deep reddish tinted surfaces.
