A few light scrapes and abrasions are consistent with the near-Gem assessment, but the cartwheel luster is radiant from the orange-gold surfaces, and the strike is full. Both dies are in late states, with numerous die cracks visible, more prominently on the reverse, likely the result of die-economy measures at the San Francisco Mint. An appealing piece!
