<B>1901 S$1 PR67 Cameo NGC.</B></I> A stone-white Superb Gem with impressive, seamless frost throughout the devices. The fields are nicely mirrored, which creates a pleasing white-on-black effect. Even lengthy perusal beneath a loupe cannot locate any hairlines, and the present piece must be regarded as one of the finest proof 1901 dollars extent. As usual for the 1901 proofs, ONE DOLLAR and the lowest leaves in the wreath are lightly die doubled, although this feature is not to be confused with the dramatic VAM-3. Only 813 proofs were struck.
