1901 S$1 MS63 PCGS. Although the 1894 dollar had a lower mintage, and the 1895 Morgan was a proof-only issue, the 1901 Morgan silver dollar is an important rarity in higher Mint State grades, including at the MS63 grade level. This piece is fully brilliant with soft, frosty silver luster and white surfaces, exhibiting no evidence of toning. It is extremely difficult to locate in MS63 quality, and virtually never found any finer. PCGS has only certified 23 finer examples (8/06). Dave Bowers suggested that the optimum collecting grade for this date is just MS60, although the MS63 grade provides a good combination of grade and price, the formula for good value.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
