<B>1901-O S$1 MS67 NGC.</B></I> The release of multiple bags of the 1901-O in 1962 sealed the fate of this issue as a common date. However, just a handful of Superb coins are known. Such coins are eagerly sought by Morgan collectors and are among the most attractive in the series. The finish is noticeably different on a high grade 1901-O than an 1881-S, for instance. The 1901-O has bright, satin-like mint luster, whereas the 1881-S is invariably frosted. This piece has a thick, satiny finish and is nearly void of any blemishes--certainly none are visible with the unaided eye. Brilliant throughout.
