<B>1901 $20 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> According to the Bowers double eagle reference, this issue is the first Type Three issue for which Gem coins are "common" (although, as always, that is a relative term, best used within the context of the series), adding that "even MS66 coins are not rare." Despite that bold assertion, PCGS has certified only three pieces in MS66, with none finer and none at NGC. This coin has bold orange-gold coloration, great luster, and a total paucity of post-strike distractions. A few light roller marks are seen through the central obverse.
