<B>1901 $2 1/2 PR67 Cameo NGC.</B></I> The 1901 has the highest mintage of any proof Liberty Head quarter eagle (223 pieces). The issue is relatively available, as can be seen from the population data; close to 100 examples have been certified by NGC and PCGS. Even Cameos can be located, as the two services have given about 60 coins this designation, the vast majority of which fall into the PR62 to PR65 Cameo range.<BR> The Superb Gem Cameo offered here exhibits delightful peach-gold surfaces that display sharply impressed design elements. Both faces are smooth and devoid of mentionable marks, and yield outstanding fields-motif contrast.
