<B>1901 $1 Doubled Die Reverse AU58 PCGS.</B></I> VAM-3. A Top 100 Variety. Any 1901 dollar is desirable near Mint State, but the <I>Guide Book</B></I> doubled die reverse variety is especially coveted. The tail feathers have a spread reminiscent of the strongest 1878 doubled tail feather VAMs. Mostly lustrous with peripheral red-gold and cobalt-blue toning. A bit abraded near the profile and behind the cap.
